Default Infiniti G35 and Palm Pre static

I have a 2007 G35 with Navigation.
The bluetooth feature worked fine with two other phones including the LG Dare. It is unuseable with the Palm Pre due to the static and dropout issues. I've reported this to the Sprint technical service at the Sprint store but he had not heard about it. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Other than that I like the phone.

If you can provide me the year and model it will help in identifying a pattern and maybe it can be fixed. Like so many othe posters here, I love the phone. However, the static issue on bluetooth is a big problem. I've had the Treo 755p and 800w both working great with my 2008 G35 (with Nav). The Palm Pre on the other had is unusable. I called Palm and spoke to a support rep who said that Bluetooth Car Kits are not fully supported yet, but they hope to clear that up with a software update. I hope that is true, but something doesn't sound right with that explaination. The Pre seems to work fine in other cars (like you have seen with the 2007 Maxima). I know Palm has had an issue like this before, I had a Treo 700p and they had the same issue. Tons of bluetooth problems with static and randomly disconnecting; Palm did correct it with a software update. So I guess there is hope that they can remedy this, I just hope they are listening and working to help us.

I'm having the same major static problems with my new Palm Pre and my new 2009 Nissan Maxima. My Centro worked perfectly with the Maxima's bluetooth setup. When I upgraded to Pre, all I get is static. I went to the Nissan dealer today and they said the updated my bluetooth support, but I still have the static and now it is dropping in and out of hands free mode (the caller stays on the line). Ugh! I hope somebody fixes this. Please everyone that is having this problem with a Nissan call 800-NISSAN1 and press 7, then 4 and report the problem. Tell the operator that you need the "Bluetooth Helpline".

When they fix this, I hope they also add A2DP support so I can play music from the Pre wirelessly to the stereo -- one can hope!

Default Looks to be an issue with Bluetooth 2.0 Compatibility on the Pre

They are reporting the same issue on the Palm forum. A member there got his phone replaced and it corrected the issue.

http://forums.palm.com/palm/board/me...cending&page=3

I upgraded to WebOS 1.0.3 and it didn't fix the issue.

I think we should all start bugging Palm (email, phone, fax them) until they release a software update or we can all just replace our phones.

Thanks.

thanks for the heads up re bluetooth problems. Without bluetooth i do not need a pre. I have the treo 755p and was avoiding the iPhone. the iPhone has or is going to have bluetooth. Apple has avoided it in the touch as well due to their greed in controling products, but they are finally going to give in to the importance of Bluetooth. I want to upgrade, but do not know what to buy. I did think i wanted the pre but i do not want to be tester for palm. Sorry bit off topic....glad you guys are here,
