Verizon Wireless coming to Palm Pre?
Yesterday we found out that AT&T wants the Palm Pre. Today Verizon’s CEO Lowell McAdam revealed that Verizon plans to sell the Palm Pre in 6 months.

Palm Pre Verizon Wireless
“Over the next six months or so you will see devices like Palm Pre and a second generation Storm,” on the Verizon Wireless network, McAdam told a webcast.
At the All Things Digital conference today Walt Mossenberg asked Jon Rubenstein of Palm Inc. whether or not Verizon will be coming to the Palm Pre. Jon Rubenstein did not confirm it or deny it:
We love Sprint, and they’re our launch partner. It’s flattering that AT&T and Verizon want it. I can’t comment on unannounced relationships. But Bell Mobility is getting it in Canada.
For now the Palm Pre will be available to the US only through Sprint on June 6th. Canada will be getting their Palm Pre through Bell Mobility. After knowing that both Verizon Wireless and AT&T may be carrying the Palm Pre at a later point will that stop you from buying the Palm Pre through Sprint?

I’ve decided to switch to Sprint for the Pre on Saturday. Knowing it will most likely come to AT&T (my current carrier) possibly in 6 months doesn’t change my mind because I am excited about the Pre and tired of waiting for it already. Sprint is also cheaper for a data plan than AT&T. I have some trepidation because I don’t know if I will like Sprint as much as AT&T, but I’m going for it.
I’ll be doing the same too. Good luck getting the Pre on Saturday!
I’m gettin mine saturday too. The fact that verizon and att are going to be carring it is not a concern to me. However, it is a concern to a friend of mine who will be waiting for others to carry it. Main reasion is that it is not a GSM phone comming out on sprint. When verizon and att get it, it will most likely be a GSM phone. If you do not travel alot then you dont need it. It has wi-fi. Most all resorts and hotels you will go to at least have free wi-fi so you can communicate to people. When I am on vacation I never use my phone anyway. It gets put a way and turned back on when I touch down @ home.
I am on the waiting list. I did not hear about it until we switched to AT&T but the 3G and Iphone which suck!!! A lot of dropped calls so we looked into Sprint and notice the JP Award. Lower costing plans and then we saw the PRE…wow this looks great. I like verizon but they are costly. I am hoping they will have Video recording soon. If AT&T get the pre, well it probaly will start getting bad reveiws like the IPHONE on poor service. Go sprint
I think the palm pre is a great phone I like it and real fast on the sprint network then I though it would be.But AT&T shouldent be able to put it there network because the iphone is not with no other caires like sprint or verizon.so the pre should stay with sprint only because there plans fit the pre just right.
I will have patience and wait…at least for now. Yeah, yeah, yeah…I know…verizon is expensive. But you are paying for excellent customer service and the best network ever, something the other two aforementioned boast…but do not always deliver according to research. I will use my centro until Verizon offers a new palm…I just pray it’s the PRE!
While I am excited about the Pre, and would really like to have one, I will not move to Sprint… ever… Had them as my carrier once before, and hated them.
I look forward to a GSM Pre, on a better carrier like Verizon or AT&T.
