AT&T wants the Palm Pre
During the All Things Digital Conference on Wednesday, AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson confirmed that he would like to see the Palm Pre on AT&T’s network.
“Would I like to see that on our network some day? Of course I would,” said Stephenson. “We obviously talk to all the handset manufacturers. We want a broad selection of devices in the lineup. That’s important. Devices right now are what’s driving the customer adoption as much as anything.”
Of course we won’t be seeing the Palm Pre on AT&T just yet because according to a post on CNBC.com Palm has an exclusive agreement that will stay with Sprint until the end of this year. I was really hoping to see Verizon acquire the Palm Pre but there’s no news of that happening anytime soon. What do you think about AT&T selling the Palm Pre? I think it will be great to have two different carriers to choose from. AT&T already owns the iPhone and they’re making a really smart move by offering the next big smartphone on their network.

I think it would be amazing to have the Palm Pre on AT&T a few months ago i was telling my sister it would be awsome to have a phone that was like the propel ( slides up with a full key board) but instead of buttons on the top slider it could be a touch screen. So know I am just hoping that AT&T will have it!!:)
VZ will get it later due to the exclusivity agreement between Palm and Sprint. Sprint must have given Palm a pretty sweet deal to pony up with them for 6 months.
I’m pretty sure Palm has a working “AT&T” version of the pre. May be getting one some time next month. I’ll keep you posted.
have you heard anymore about the Pre going to ATT?
I have been waiting to hear more news, Im sure there must be some restrictions on what gets released so as not to interfere with Sprints sales….
I really want a Pre, please advise.
