The Palm Pre has been guarded very safely, mostly seeing appearances in videos only when closely monitored by Palm execs for short periods of time. But Editor-in-chief at Engadget, Joshua Topolsky, is walking around with one in his pocket. Admittedly “geeking out” about the device, he couldn’t help but share it with a friend. That friend was Jimmy Fallon on his NBC show and the whole world got to watch in:

It looks like a Engadget was merely “behaving” for a promotional opportunity set up by Palm. But Topolsky is sticking by his story that Fallon contacted him directly and told him he wanted to see the device. Based on the interaction at the beginning of the video it doesn’t really seem that way. But then again, out of the people who know what C.E.S. stands for who WOULDN’T try to get an exclusive look at this device?
