Loading ...We had seen the Palm Pre Specs on Palm’s website but their sudden appearance on Sprint’s Website is re-assuring. Especially since Sprint clearly identifies that they will allow tethering with the Palm Pre.
See that little “Phone as modem” thingy? Yeah.l.. that would be it. Tethering via Bluetooth and USB. Great news for Pre owners.
Update: It looks like there will be no tethering available on the Palm Pre, the tethering option doesn’t show up on the specs page anymore.

The Pre runs an App called Classic right? Can’t you run a tethering program for Palm Os through Classic?
No you can’t.
Well, there’s a good third party app for Palm Os if someone can get it done. Wouldn’t the Sprint network just see the data transfer itself? How do they know if it is being used as a modem?
Well I think they can see what browser you are using if they look into the http packets.
