Everyone in the world thought Palm was going under, but loyal Palm fans knew the company would come up big. Everyone expected Palm to falter at CES 2009 but again, those who have followed Palm for years knew that the company would somehow find a way. So when everyone was astounded and amazed by how incredible the Palm WebOS and the Palm Pre announcement turned out, long time Palm enthusiasts absolutely flipped out in a composed, vibrant excitement.

For example, Dieter Bohn from Treo Central.

In his opening few sentences, he claims that WebOS could get more developer support than Android and approach the iPhone. He then goes into hardware before his stream of consciousness brings him right back to software in the hardware section: “You may have noticed that I’m ostensibly in the “hardware” section of this impressions article but I’ve diverged into talking about software. That’s key to the Pre’s success — the two are completely intertwined.”

Nice excuse! The article is a nice first look/impression at/of the Palm Pre from a true Palm fan’s point of view… something plenty of people will be able to appreciate!
